7th Annual HHCHospitality Hires Chicago gives employers a chance to meet work-ready job seekers to make their next great hire and gives job seekers the chance to land their next great offer—sometimes on the spot! The Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership (The Partnership) is partnering with Chicago Loop Alliance, the City of Chicago, Choose Chicago, Cook County, Illinois Hotel and Lodging Association, Illinois Restaurant Association, The Magnificent Mile Association, and Near South Planning Board to host the 7 annual Hospitality Hires Chicago (HHC). The hiring event, located at Palmer House, a Hilton Hotel, included various employers with open positions who made offers to the region’s diverse, work-ready, skilled job seekers.

The Hospitality Hires Chicago initiative began as a way to provide a strategic approach to bringing together high demand industry professionals with employers. Each year a high number of job vacancies go unfilled due to the limited access to qualified candidates.

Hospitality Hires Chicago provides employers with a strategic approach to finding your next best hire and for job seekers to find their next best employment opportunity, by working with Chicagoland's premiere workforce development organizations.

We help jobseekers prepare for their first interview. Whether it’s helping with practicing interview skills or assistance revising a resume, The Partnership’s goal is to provide the support needed to be prepared. The Partnership operates a network of more than 90 workforce development agencies in Chicago and Cook County. Staff at 10 American Job Centers (AJC) in the region support job seekers with skills assessments, resume and interview preparation and more. Career seekers can reach an AJC by dialing 800-720-2515 or by visiting LevelUpAJC.org. Job seekers can also call The Partnership’s Hospitality and Tourism Sector Center at 312-281-7925.
Employers (employer registration) must pre-register. Career seekers are expected to be work-ready, bring 20 resumes with them to the event and dress in business-interview-attire. The registration confirmation also states the requirements to enter the event (dress code, updated resume, etc.) for the designated time.
